Nordchance Service

The project

The steep Training Centre Hamburg is hosting the project NORDCHANCE Service, an initiative of the NORDMETALL and AGV NORD employer associations intended to promote motivated young persons in Northern Germany without a placement in a training programme or internship. The object of this project is to improve its participants’ chances of transitioning into and settling permanently in NORDMETALL and AGV NORD establishments. The project is funded by the employers’ association NORDMETALL. The federal employment agency BA is the conceptual sponsor.

Young persons interested in participating can submit their applications directly to the project’s cooperation and network partners. At the steep Training Centre Hamburg, the young participants take part in personal talks and enjoy constant support as a means to identify potential recognized trades. Afterwards, candidate companies are contacted. In the process, the young participants are assisted in the application and interview phases and are supported and promoted over the whole measure.

The project was conceived to identify and broker an additional potential of suitable, motivated applicants responding to the great many preparatory vocational measures. Also planned for this purpose is a wide-reaching network between the participating educational organizations, agencies and companies.
