Accredited Calibration and Environmental Measurements
EMC centres
Whether testing, hardening, calibration or some other EMC service: At its own EMC centres, steep provides an extensive range of services for all fields of electromagnetic compatibility. The two EMC centres in Bonn and Ottobrunn and the steep calibration laboratory in Ottobrunn have been accredited by the DAkkS under the standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. These accreditations apply only within the scope set down in the annexes D-PL-12064-01-01 and D-PL-12064-01-02 for the EMC centre and D-K-12064-021-00 for the calibration laboratory.
In addition, Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has approved the Bonn EMC centre as an inspection body for “short” measurements on devices.

Our instrumentation
- Absorber hall (16 x 11.5 x 8.5 m) for test pieces weighing up to 60 t incl. exhaust gas extraction, air conditioning and 8-t crane
- Absorber hall (18 x 11 x 6.7 m) with rotary table for compliant test pieces with 10-m measuring intervals
- 3 smaller halls for measuring intervals up to 3 m, partially air-conditioned and fitted with compressed air, water supply and non-combustible absorbers
